The 2018 Seminar and Business Meeting will be held at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. Rooms rates for the seminar is $ 61.00 per night (Sunday -Friday) excluding any applicable tax and energy surcharge. In addition the hotel charges a $17.50 resort fee which includes many amenities normally incurred as additional charges.

John Odum: John is currently Vice President of the National Polygraph Association. He is a private polygraph examiner in California, PCSOT Instructor at Marston Polygraph Academy, Director of the PCSOT Committee for the CA Association of Polygraph Examiners and serves on the polygraph committee of the CA Sex Offender Management Board. He conducts civil commitment polygraph testing of sexually violent predators in civil commitment at CA Department of State Hospitals. He has testified as an expert witness in the field of polygraph.
Karen Thorp: Karen Thorp is a Deputy District Attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office with more than 28 years’ experience prosecuting serious crimes including death penalty cases. Currently the Deputy in Charge of the Pomona Juvenile Office, Karen has previously worked as the Deputy in Charge of the Long Beach Juvenile Office and the Long Beach Felony Preliminary Hearing Unit. Karen served in several special units including the Career Criminal Division, and more recently, the Sexually Violent Predator Unit. She regularly trains law enforcement on a variety of legal issues. She is a graduate of Loyola Law School, where she served on the Law Review.
Bruce Voss, Esq: Bruce Voss has been a practicing California lawyer for 43 years. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court (Central, Southern and Eastern), United States Tax Court, Court of Claims, Court of Customs and Patent Appeals, US Court of Military Appeals, California Supreme Court and all other state courts in California. He is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell. AV is the highest legal and ethical rating to be obtained. The AV rating indicates “very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standard as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar."
Tricia Busby, Ph.D: Dr. Busby is a licensed psychologist in California and Washington. She has provided treatment and sex offender forensic evaluations for over 10 years. She has testified as an expert witness in Sexually Violent Predator proceedings and competency hearings in notguilty by reason of insanity cases. She currently teaches psychology for PCSOT polygraph students. She is a member of the CA Sex Offender Management Board Polygraph Committee. She has co-authored a polygraph paper for the APA Journal.
Walt Goodson: Walt received a BA in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 1994, and additionally graduated from Northwestern University Police School of Staff and Command and Texas Department of Public Safety Command College. He has been with the Texas DPS since 1994. Currently he is a Major over the Texas DPS Training Academy. At Texas DPS, he has served as a highway patrol trooper, SWAT team member, supervisor, program manager and criminal investigator. Walt’s polygraph career began in 2001 after graduating Texas DPS Polygraph School. He began instructing and coordinating the Texas DPS Polygraph School in 2004 and named as the School Director 2008.
Patty Odum, RN, MSN, FNP-BC. Patty is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western University of Health Sciences with a M.S. in Nursing. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado with a B.S. in Nursing. Mrs. Odum has 22 years of nursing experience and provided comprehensive care as a nurse practitioner in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Geriatric and Hospice. She is currently an instructor at Marston Polygraph Academy in Pharmacology and Chemical Countermeasures.
Chip Morgan: Chip is a nationally recognized trainer and lecturer proving instruction for over 35 years at polygraph schools, national training seminars and colleges throughout the U.S. Canada and Mexico. Chip is a 1975 Backster graduate and served as a Detective, Criminal Polygraph Examiner. He is the past president of the National Polygraph Association, International Brotherhood of Police Officers, Boise Police Association, Idaho Fire & Arson Investigators and several other professional associations. Chip is a Court Certified Expert in Idaho and California State Courts and the US Federal Court Systems. He has been a certified Instructor since 1980 and is a published author.
